Join us for lunch, dinner, or brunch, and experience the essence of exquisite South Asian cuisine. One of the standout aspects of Taste of Peshawar is undoubtedly the Kabuli Pulao, praised by many as the best in London. The rice is cooked to perfection, fragrant and infused with the deep flavors of spices, making it a must-try dish for all visitors. Additionally, the Chapli Kebab receives frequent accolades for its crisp edges and juicy center, providing a satisfying bite full of herbs and spices.
Another highlight includes the generous portions served; diners leave feeling well-fed after enjoying a variety of small plates and mains. The complimentary daal offered to guests is a lovely touch that adds to the warm experience. Friendly staff enhance the visit, creating a welcoming environment that keeps diners returning again and again.
With all the praise, some diners do mention the wait during peak hours as a slight inconvenience, particularly on busy weekends and evenings. The rush can lead to longer wait times for both seating and food, so patience is required during those times.
Another consideration is the limited dessert selection, which, while delicious, could expand to offer more variety. Some visitors desire more sweet options to complete their meal. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience remains strong and the dishes served often outweigh the negatives.
Ps. They run the promotion on the biryani every day with real compatible prices, that makes it daily eatery. This unassuming gem offers a genuinely authentic Pakistani-Afghan dining experience, and I can confidently say it serves the best Kabuli Pulao I’ve ever tasted in London. The rice itself was fragrant, each grain separate yet infused with rich spices and tender meat—just as it should be. The Chapli Kebab was equally excellent: crisp edges, juicy inside, and full of depth, with a balance of herbs and heat that felt both bold and carefully measured. What impressed me most was how everything felt freshly prepared. There was none of the “reheated special” taste that plagues many so-called “ethnic” restaurants. Instead, every bite conveyed the care of home cooking. In a city awash with fusion and oversimplified “South Asian” menus, Taste of Peshawar stands out as a place that genuinely honours Pakistani and Afghani culinary traditions. Service was warm and welcoming. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. Portions were generous, and in terms of value it held up well. If you’re in London and craving food that truly captures the spirit of Peshawar, skip the glitz and head straight here. I’ll be returning, and I can’t wait to try their full Tawa platter next time.
Nice tasty food the staff and owner was very friendly and welcoming he really thinks about the customer 👍👍👍 Food was very nice tasty and fresh I cant find anything to complain about 😀 They give free complimentary daal as well 🙌🏼
We had the Tawa for 3 Persons, it was piping hot when served to us, the variety was really good and tasty
Delicious food - we had a combo platter for two (pictured). Came with various chicken, lamb and daal bits, chips, naan bread, and salad. All delicious, varied flavours - and lovely thick mango lassi! Staff very friendly. Made a great chilled out lunch before a match at Wembley. Would go again!
I was on vacation this week in London. Found this place on google maps and didn’t expect it to be so good. The food was amazing. The servers were excellent. They were so accommodating. Would recommend this place to friends and families any day! We had a variety of dishes. My favorite was their Tawa Speciall. Their biryani was a family favorite.
